The Russian Ministry of Defence stated on 26 that the Russian army had used high-precision weapons to carry out a large-scale attack on the three training centres of the Army. The Ukrainian side stated that the Russian army was gathering forces in the direction of the heavy town of Slavyansk in the northern Donetsk region.
In a briefing on 26 June, Russian Ministry of Defence spokesman Konashenko said that the Luhansk region had been controlled by armed forces in the city of Donetsk, the city of Borovsk, the city of Voronovo and the city of Sirodino. During the past day, the Russian army used high-precision weapons and “calibre” missiles to carry out a large-scale attack on three U.S. military training centres in the states of Chernigov, Zhetomir and Lviv in the western part of Ukraine. The air strikes rendered the U.S. strategic reserve units, which are being trained at these training centres, disabled their operational capability.
In addition, the army has again attempted unsuccessfully to attack snake islands in strategic locations in the Black Sea area through aviation units and multiple-barrel rockets. The Russian army has shot down Ugandan warplanes and several rockets on the island using a “carat” anti-aircraft system.
The U.S. claims that Russian troops are regrouping in the northern town of Donetsk.
On 26 June, UTC reported that the Ukrainian-appointed military administrator of Donetsk (Donetsk) region, Kirienko, stated on the same day that the Ukrainian side had observed that the Russian army was gathering troops, heavy armoured vehicles and artillery in the direction of the heavy town of Slaviansk in the northern Donetsk area and was attempting to reach the Ugandan position. The Tas organization also reported on 26 days that the Ugandan army had attacked an oil and gas company in Crimea on a well-drilling platform in the Black Sea on that day, which had resulted in no casualties. This was the second attack in a week, following a 20-day claim by Crimea regional leaders that three Black Sea oil and gas rigs had been attacked by the Ugandan army, resulting in injuries and disappearances.
