According to the website of the Sanxi Bureau of the National Mine Safety Inspectorate, on 7 August, the Sanxi Directorate of the National Mine Safety Inspectorate closed four incidents, including the “5-7” general roof accident in the Cinfu Coal industry and the “5-21” general mechanical and electrical accident in the North Coal industry, and held 77 persons responsible accountable and held criminally responsible. More recently, coal mine accidents in Shanxi Province have been frequent and there has been a marked rebound and serious challenges to safe production. In response to the outstanding problems and security risks in coal mines throughout the province, the Shanxi Authority requires that all sectors at all levels effectively raise political positions, maintain bottom-line thinking and a sense of red-line responsibility for “promoting the development of one side and safeguarding the peace of one side”; demand that coal-mining enterprises properly manage safety and security, safety and efficiency relations and ensure effective implementation of responsibility for safe production subjects; repeat the most recent major risk-related incidents, draw lessons from them, prevent major security risks, prevent their recurrence, ensure that they do not occur again, ensure that they do not lead to subversive incidents; accelerate the implementation of “unsupervised and non-operational” measures; strengthen on-site management, reduce “triple violations” and resolutely curb the risk of sporadic accidents; maintain a constant high level of pressure and combination of punches, and fight against serious violations of the safety and security services; and make every effort to prevent them from becoming dangerous and dangerous.
