According to the official communiqué of Guangdong City, at around 5 p.m. yesterday (16), a passenger truck crashed into the river from a dam at the Bay station in Jinjiang district in Guangdong City and was pulled out of the water the same night, killing all 10 people in the car.
It was reported that, after preliminary screening, the passenger van had returned from 10 miles to the town of Jinjing County in the Karang district on that day and had lost control of the dam for reasons that were under investigation.
According to the report, after the incident, the provincial government placed a high priority on the city’s efforts to rescue and rehabilitate the city. The city council and the city’s chief officials immediately arrived at the scene to rescue, treat, and rehabilitate the city’s aftermath. Working sessions and workshops have been organized to study the causes of crime, rehabilitation, family welfare, etc., and to deploy enhanced security clearance and driving safety education, requiring comprehensive screening and regulation of the management of the dam to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
